[The Anime Menace]

It's true that there are a lott of overated anime movies who just use animepicks that were drawn over with no effort whatsoever. But there are good anime movies on newgrounds (I think one was called Xin, the drawings weren't perfect, but the animation made up for that).

The thing that bothers me most, however, is YOUR movie (if u can even call it a movie): 1) Why are you whining over something stupid like that
2) If you do want to whine over something like this, make a blog, post it as a news article on your user page, start something in the BBS, but don't make a flash movie damnit. This movie prob. took even less effort then those bad anime movies, and yet you still get 2.62/5.00

next time you make a flash movie, think before you do so, you're just waisting our time with messages like this... btw, I thought this was going to be an anime movie... a GOOD anime movie... and it's not, so you get a 1 on 5 instead of a 2.

I gues it's not that bad, but it's really not that good either. i mean, no music, no sounds, no background, no tweens what so ever, no text balloons, but written text using the brush... no, just no.

i didnt use the brush for the text its a font called Comic Sans MS. And thanks to megababe i will have sound affects from now on. i might update this version with music and alternate ending if someone tells me how :/

[Awesome Dbz Fight!!!]

Good, but there's a few things bothering me.

First of all, you made the vid yourself, but don't write that you made the sounds... cause that's all ripped from the webz. Then, the music costs you one point, it's not bad cause I have the song on my mp3, but I just doesn't fit on an action based movie. Linkin Park has way better songs for that, and else you can use songs from dbz itself.

The effects were some really sweet ones, except for the ki-blasts, they pretty much suck, as there just balls. That's also one point leaving you with 8 points for an amazing animation.

[ActionScript 3 Tutorial]

Not a very good tutorial

I am an amature game developer (check out my game if you don't believe me :P) who works with actionscipt 2.0. As of now I'm learning how to use actionscript 3.0 using a book. In your tutorial you just give out some code snippets, what you should do is show us what every single line means, what we can replace to adapt the code, when we have to use what. For example, when do you use :void, and when not.

This might be good for research and people making simple games or who need a bit of actionscript for their movies, but this isn't a good start to making an actionscript 3 game

Sure it works, but the way your explaining it, doesn't work. It's not the URL of the youtube vid, it's the EXACT LOCATION OF THE FLV. Getting this location is just friggin hard for most vids. Furthermore... did you steal this from http://www.bezzmedia dot com/swfspot/samples/flash8/FLV_Player ? Unless your name is John Bezanis, you did.

Dude, that is one CRAPPY bug

The last level fire-bug (the one where bowser shoots out hundreds of flames) is anoying like crap, I had 400 points, lost them in an instant because of this stupid bug. I think there is an exception in your actionscript in which there is divided with 0, resulting in an outcome of infinite. (the actionscript referring to how much time there is between each blast). Anyhow, it only appears to occur when bowser jumps and breaths at the same time, this might help in finding your bug.

Regarding the rest of your game, AWESOME DUDE! It was like being in one of those countless epic mario fighting sprite movies... sweeet :D
